Mark Burnette, from Pine Bluff Arkansas, graduated from the University of Arkansas—Fayetteville—in 1981 with a degree in chemistry. He worked for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a research assistant from 1981 until 1986. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock–School of Law in 1988, having served on the UALR Law Journal from 1986 to 1988.
In 1991 he co-founded the “Arkansas Court Bulletin,” a weekly professional newsletter providing summaries and indexing of all publishable Arkansas Appellate and Eighth Circuit cases. He worked for 12 years with prominent Arkansas civil rights attorney John W Walker before joining the firm in 2001.
His litigation and appellate practice includes Education Law, Employment Law, Probate, and Civil Rights.
